In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officer’s Memorial Day to honor officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. May 14 – 20, 2023, is National Police Week this year. Nassau Bay Police Department and the City of Nassau Bay will hold a Memorial Ceremony on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, 10:00 am, at the Nassau Bay Police Memorial located in Town Square, 1800 Space Park Drive. Those attending are asked to wear blue in honor of our lost brothers and sisters.
