Since Nassau Bay's incorporation in 1970, Nassau Bay has consistently demonstrated a long-term commitment to sustaining a valued quality of life for its citizens that has included promoting a vibrant economic development climate. Today Nassau Bay proactively employs a number of economic development tools and partnerships to sustain and promote a strong economic base and to promote revitalization where appropriate.

July 14, 2021 - Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute groundbreaking ceremony

Exciting news for our region! On Wednesday, July 14, the Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute held a special groundbreaking ceremony at the site of their new facility to be located at 1275 Space Park in Nassau Bay.

During the ceremony, Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute President & CEO Jeff Eppinette and other members of the leadership team provided the attendees with an understanding of how the facility will serve the community. The team indicated the facility would be open to the public in approximately 1.5 years.

City of Nassau Bay Mayor Bob Warters also spoke during the ceremony and offered his congratulations to the business.

The facility in Nassau Bay will be known as Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute at Space Park and will be approximately 60,000 square feet featuring state-of-the-art equipment, a large therapy gym, and outdoor therapy courtyard.  Moody Neurorehabilitation Institute at Space Park facility will provide post-acute brain injury rehabilitation for up to 40 inpatients and will also offer outpatient rehabilitation.  The facility will employ approximately 150 clinical, medical, residential and support staff. 

Kirksey Architecture designed the new facility and the general contractor for the project is J.W. Kelso Company Inc.
