The City of Nassau Bay Ordinance 81-276, Article III, requires all pets over four months of age to be registered and wear a pet tag issued by the City. One pet tag is required for each animal owned over four months of age. City Ordinance also prohibits owning or harboring of more than three animals per household within the corporate limits of Nassau Bay. Each pet tag is to be renewed when the pet’s rabies certificate expires.
To register your pet, bring current proof of rabies vaccination to:
Public Works Building (120 Surf Court, Nassau Bay, TX 77058) Monday-Thursday 7:30 - 11:00 am or 1:00 - 5:00 pm Friday 7:30 - 11:00 am
Pet tag prices are as follows:
Non-neutered / spayed: $10 per tag
Neutered / spayed: $5 per tag
It is important to update your contact information in the City’s Pet Tag database whenever you change your daytime phone number. If your pet were to become lost, the pet tag will enable our animal control officer to quickly contact you so that your pet can be returned as quickly as possible, thus reducing the fear and stress on your pet.
If we cannot locate you, your pet may be forced to stay overnight in our Animal Control facility, thereby adding to your pet’s anxiety and incurring additional charges for you. Don’t delay, register your pet today and keep your contact information current!
