Paul Lopez was raised and graduated in Texas City in 1983. He proudly served in the US Army for 3 years with an overseas tour in Germany for 2 years and was awarded Expert Infantry Badge. He also was certified in the Army Maintenance Management System, which he uses as a primary tool as a Public Works Director. Paul is extremely proud of his three kids Trevor, Travis and Lillie, which are all active with school sports. When he is not attending sport activities with his children, Paul enjoys being outdoors and working on his classic car and motorcycles.
Paul has worked in the Public Works sector for 23 years, both in operations and administration. He serves on various committees in Nassau Bay. “In this business, sometimes you may have your boots in the mud in the morning and attend meetings in the afternoon to fully understand what Public Works does. In a waterfront community when the worst weather comes in, my crews are out in it earning their pay, keeping the City going. Those are my guys.”
