Jamie has been in emergency service for 35 years attaining the rank of Chief with the Liberty and Webster Fire Departments and also served as the Director of Emergency Services/EMC in League City. Jamie is currently serving as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Nassau Bay, Texas
Jamie Galloway currently serves the Emergency Management Association of Texas as the Sgt. at Arms. Jamie sits on several EMAT committees including the Symposium, Nominations, and was appointed as the EMAT Rep to the Texas Hazard Mitigation Team. He is also an adjunct instructor for the Texas Dept. of Public Safety- Division of Emergency Management and teaches the Incident Command Trainer course at the DPS Academy in Austin.
Jamie currently holds certifications as a Master Firefighter, Master Instructor, Master Arson Investigator, Master Inspector and Master Peace Officer. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Science in Fire Science and is currently working on his Master’s in Emergency Services Administration.
Jamie has served as the President of the Texas Gulf Coast Emergency Management Association and has held other offices with that organization. He is the recipient of the Curby Smith Distinguished Service Award and the Lou Harrell Award from TGCEMA.
