  1. Run For Health 5K Fun Run

    November 3, 2018, 7:15 AM @ Gloria Dei Lutheran Church

    Run For Health will host its sixth annual 5K Run/Walk on November 3rd, 2018. This Run for Health event will originate and culminate at the Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Road, Houston, Texas. The race course is USATF certified. There is a $300 cash prize for the overall male/female winner, medals to all finishers, trophies to top three in 9 age divisions, and 22 vendors with lots of giveaways. All proceeds of this event will go to Anchor Point, which is a key community resource that delivers hope to families including pregnant teens and women, babies on the way, troubled youth and their families, foster and adopted children, and families considering adoption.   2. KNBB Fall Sweep

    November 3, 2018, 8:30 AM - 11:30 AM @ David Braun Park

    Keep Nassau Bay Beautiful (KNBB) will host its first annual Fall Sweep for the City of Nassau Bay Parks on November 3rd, from 8:30am to 11:30am. The planned activities include: *Activities in Swan Lagoon Park will include trimming of tree and shrub branches over the walking path; raising the paver stones in the circle at Clippers Cove; and general trash pick-up. *Activities in David Braun Park will include weeding three large concrete planters; painting the three planters; and general trash pick-up. Trash will also be picked up along the Berm Trail to the Peninsula, augmented by trash pick-up along the Clear Creek shoreline from the Peninsula Gate through David Braun Park by a kayak group. *Activities in Howard Park will include staining the wooden gazebo; re-staining two wooden benches; removing dead crape myrtles; and general trash pick-up. Volunteers will be asked to select an activity and join KNBB in sprucing up the City's parks!
