April 21, 2017 - April 23, 2017 @ Gloria Dei
Would you dedicate your weekend to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #2, to end world hunger by 2030? Rise Against Hunger and Gloria Dei Lutheran Church will be teaming up to give Houstonians the opportunity to make a large contribution towards this goal. We won’t end world hunger but we will make an impact and educate volunteers to become advocates in the fight against hunger.
Founder, Ray Buchanan, of Rise Against Hunger formerly known as Stop Hunger Now will come to Houston to celebrate packing an entire shipping container of dehydrated meals to distribute internationally. Meal packaging will take place at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 18220 Upper Bay Rd., Houston, TX 77058, on Saturday, April 22 and Sunday, April 23.
These meals will do more than feed people; they will nourish lives as they are provided to educational programs and clinics.
