Clear Creek Community Theatre on Upper Bay Road, Nassau Bay, is excited to present Neil Simon's delightful comedy: LAST OF THE RED HOT LOVERS.
Middle-aged and married, overworked and overweight, Barney Cashman wants to join the sexual revolution before it’s too late and arranges three seductions: the first, Elaine Navazio proves to be a foul-mouthed bundle of neuroses; Bobbi Michele is next, a 20-ish actress who’s too kooky by half; finally Jeanette Fisher, a gloomy, depressed housewife who happens to be married to Barney’s best friend. Performances are February 24 –March 12, at 8.00pm Fridays and Saturdays, with Matinées at 2.30pm on Sundays. Tickets are $15 for Adults, $13 for Students and Seniors and $10 for Groups of 10 or more. St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Nassau Bay will begin the Lenten season with a Zydeco Mass and Dinner on Fat Tuesday. Service starts at 6:00pm with masks, beads, and dancing. Then dinner commences at 6:45pm with a New Orleans country boil and concert featuring the Platinum Players Zydeco Band. Ash Wednesday services will be presented at 6:45am, 8:30am, & 6:00pm. There will be Drive-thru Ashes and reserve Eucharist from 11:30am until 1:30pm. After the 6:00pm service on Ash Wednesday, there will be a simple soup dinner. Please bring a handful of vegetables to add tothe pot before the service. A 5-week Lenten Study will be conducted by Fr. Mike Stone each Wednesday from March 2 - April 5 on Embracing Forgiveness. Each Wednesday a soup dinner will be provided from 6:00-6:45 pm with the study following from 6:45-7:45 pm. Everyone is welcome at these services to honor this very holy time of the year!
