Thank you Annual Peninsula Clean-up Volunteers

Thank you very much for your hard work - it made a big difference in the appearance of the Peninsula.

We had 45+ participants in the 2019 Nassau Bay Peninsula Clean Up despite the weather forecast of rain. More volunteers came to the Peninsula by boat (Clear Creek Environmental Foundation efforts), which really helped, especially for picking up the large lumber scraps at the north end of the Peninsula. These volunteers are not included in this number count. It was great to see family/neighbor groups and high school students participating. Keep Texas Beautiful and Keep Nassau Bay Beautiful encourage participation by our youth.

Thanks to the City Staff members who worked the Clean Up, especially Paul Lopez and James Green of Public Works who set up sign-up area and collected and hauled off the huge amount of trash that was collected.
