Honoring Volunteer Firefighters

The Nassau Bay Volunteer Fire Department held their Annual Appreciation and Awards event on March 3, 2018 and several members received special recognition for their 2017 accomplishments. With a special Casino Royale themed entertainment and festivities, the evening was a true celebration of a memorable year of fire department activities. The City of Nassau Bay is so lucky to have such wonderful volunteers always ready to put their life on the line for our community. Thank you for all you do! The following NBVFD members received special recognition for the 2017 accomplishments.

  • Fire Fighter of the Year: Vic Studer
  • Rookie Fire Fighter of the Year: Bradley Dearman
  • Medic of the Year: Robert "Gabby" Chapman
  • Administrative Officer of the Year: Bill Quinn
  • Line Officer of the Year: Bob Juillerat
  • Ed Newton Scholarship Award: Luis Marquina
  • Chief's Coin Award for Special Service: Vic Studer
