Residents this is a notification regarding the removal of a traffic control device on Point Lookout at the Intersecting cross street of Kingstree Lane.

There was only a southbound stop sign on Point Lookout but not a northbound stop sign which is confusing to motorists. Additionally, Point Lookout is a through street not requiring a stop sign. Therefore, we have removed the southbound stop sign at this location. The stop sign on Kingstree Lane is appropriate and will remain in place.

We request that you exercise caution at the intersection and inform others of the removal of the stop sign.

It should be noted that the City of Nassau Bay conforms to the State Highway Departments Manual and recommendations regarding traffic control points for the purpose of standardization and uniformity.
