A committee made up of residents and councilmembers researched street parking issues in certain areas of the city. They made a presentation on their findings at Monday’s Council Meeting and based on their research they recommended that the city consider an overnight street parking ban from 2-4am. City Council voted and assigned City staff to come up with other possible solutions and bring those suggestions along with the committee’s suggestions back to Council to vote on at a future Council Meeting.
Staff is in the planning phase and will soon begin research which will include citizen input sessions. We will host these input sessions in August and September where residents will be able to provide their input and help us determine the best possible solutions to address the street parking concerns. Stay tuned, we will announce the dates for these sessions soon.
