[ARCHIVED] Street Flooding & Early School Release

Storms are slow moving causing some street flooding in the city. City staff is coning off streets with high water. Do NOT attempt to pass any road with high water.

Clear Creek ISD, Gloria Dei, and St. Thomas have implemented an early release. Parents can pick their children up from school or they can ride the bus. Due to street flooding in the city, Nassau Bay Police & Fire Department will be meeting the busses as they get to the city to help children get to their homes as needed with special high water vehicles. If you are a parent and need assistance getting your child home from the bus, please call us at 281-333-4211. For high school students driving home, they can come to City Hall for transportation home.

Do not park along the streets. If you are parked along the street, please move into a driveway or garage at this time to protect your vehicle as well as keep streets clear to improve drainage and make room for emergency high water vehicles to get through if needed.

Please monitor the National Weather Service or your favorite local weather broadcast for updates.
