Application not selected for funding by FEMA
FEMA did not select the grant application to move forward with funding. While Nassau Bay was notified that the application met all of the requirements, the selected homes were not competitive enough amongst the national applications to received funding. FEMA stated that more repetitive loss and severe repetitive loss be the only homes in an application going forward.
The 2020 FMA application period closed in December 2020 with over 20 homes applying for the elevation grant. While we continue to see large responses from homeowners wanting to be in the program, the number of homes that meet the grant requirements continues to get smaller. This application ended with nine (9) homes.
